The city of Lisboa

It is one of the most creative cities of Europe that got a major boost after the crisis.

As a result, the city saw a regeneration of some of its run-down areas due to initiatives created by young locals. Think low cast bars, home-style restaurants, and new retail concept stores but also a lot of doing it yourself house renovation.

Lisbon is hip, happening and trending these days for a fun weekend away from home: trendy clubs, lots of new museums and smart boutique style accommodations. When you know that Lisbon has some of Western Europe's lowest prices for food, drinks, and transportation with the result that you will have the perfect recipe for one of the hottest city breaks available right now.

This being said, we've made a list of must-visits for you.

1. Café Janis

Grabbing every chance to mingle with the locals will always be our aim when we are traveling. When strolling around searching for nice photo locations we came across this tiny bar/restaurant which happened to be a vibrant all-day café serving French – Mediterranean food, splendid cocktails and local wine with very reasonable prices. Our kind of place, so do stop by from Wednesday till Sunday, from 8.00am till 1.00am. Lovely tiny square in front and being called a lively rendezvous spot in an authentic corner of Lisbon. Visit their website.

2. Café & Restaurant House of Wonders

House of Wonders is a wonderful veggie café & restaurant with 2 rooftop terraces located in the heart of Cascais and very close to the various local beaches. Open all day long and serving farm fresh mezzes in abundance, every single day. Besides providing delicious food the other aspect of why you need to visit this place is because the house is one of the most photographed locations in Lisbon because of its original look. The motto is simple in this place: Handmade & homemade with a capital L for Love. Visit their Instagram for more info.

3. Hotel Ritz

Combine the natural friendliness of the Portuguese with the efficient service that the Four Seasons Group delivers and you have an impressive hotel experience. Nothing is too much trouble, from that elusive restaurant table to a pair of shoes that needs a quick polish. One of the best features of this hotel is the 400-meter running track on the roof of the hotel. Go figure the view that you have while recovering from the night before. Have a look at their website.

4. Park Rooftop bar

The wining and dining is done and you are ready to move your feet. Good call, so make sure to head over to Park bar. The hidden party spot in town. The first move into the parking garage, enter the shitty elevator, press 6th floor, walk up and you are about the enter the club. Great location, view, people, music and drinks. What more to ask for? Google park bar Lisbon for address and opening hours.
